The Dolphins Swim Team is open to children ages 5 to 18, depending on skill level. Swimmers 8 and under must be able to swim at least one length of the pool unassisted.
During the season, swimmers are taught the techniques of the four competitive strokes:

Parent Volunteers
Our team depends on parent participation. It takes over 20 adult volunteers to run each meet. Some roles, like timers, are trained at the meet. Others, such as stroke and turn judges, require PMSL certification (details below).
Each family is asked to volunteer a minimum of 8 hours over the course of the season, either at meets or other team events. There are opportunities to help before, during, and after meets. If you’re not able to help at meets, you can:

- Coordinate food
- Sell merchandise

PMSL TraininG
To serve in an official meet role (e.g., stroke and turn judge), parents must complete a PMSL training session in advance.
If your child has been on the team for at least one year, you are encouraged to get certified.
